Middle School The Nightmare Continues

After, a transition plan was done for our son, you cannot even really call it a plan.  It was just a tour of the school.  It was done two days before school let out.  I told them he was not ready for middle school challenges.  But, they refused to listen.  Then, they got mad at me, because he was having a hard time.  Our son who once loved school became petrified of school.  This school had a history of discrimination against special needs kids.  First, they knew he had disabilities that made change and transitions hard for him.  Yet, no one was there to help him not even on the first day.  Second, the problems that arose could have been prevented had they did a proper transition and followed his I. E.p. Even the autism coordiconsultant and special ed coordiator were  of no help.
He was kicked out of school and moved to another school.  Which, he loves, thankfully.

It wasn't until recently that we found out why he was petrified of school.  He kept getting lost. Again, there was an easy solution to this and it could have been prevented. But, again we faced discrimination within the school system.
